Life Gets Better
Video Transcript:
Hi. I'm kind of excited and a little nervous to be back. Oh man! So, you are with Cindy. This is "Saturday with Cindy," that's me. And I always like to say hello to everybody who's watching this for the first time.
I have been gone for over a month. I was out in California, at True North Health Center. I always try to get out there once a year to do a fast and a cleanse and just rest. And boy, this was a good one, three weeks. And I really fell off the planet and disappeared from everybody and everything, and I feel rejuvenated and ready to go. Originally, I was going to take you through every week, sitting there, what a fasting, boring, but I didn't want to put you through all that. It was great. It's a wonderful place. If you ever consider doing something like that for your health, I highly recommend True North.
So, I am back and stronger than ever, and very, very excited about the event happening in California. I actually put it together. I didn't think I could swing it. San Francisco City Government was very cooperative, so I have the permit for a big, old, bullhorn. So, I can get on my soapbox and start telling the whole world, everybody that walks by, all of us, what the pro-age movement is all about. And I know a lot of you are going to be there in spirit. And any of you, they can figure out a way to get to Union Square in San Francisco, on July 27th, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., I am going to be passing out BOOM! and the Pro-age Revolution T-shirts and hats. So, we'll really stand out, and hopefully my publicists will get press interest, and we'll have newspapers and maybe local TV shows to come and film us, and photograph us, and put it in the newspapers, and let the world know that we are not going out silent and quiet about our age. That we are proud of it, and we're going to share it openly. We are going to talk about our age the same way we did when we were 5, 6, 7, up to 21 years old.
I am 62½ years old, and proud of it, and looking forward to more. So, I want everybody to write big posters, felt tip, and march with those things. I really think we can get a lot of interest because everybody wants to know that their life gets better, that their future is something they can look forward to. So, we will be the examples. We will be the women that will show the world and all the women who are younger than us, that life gets better, and it's up to us to make it better.
All right. So, it's springtime. Today is May 31st. I am recording this a day before Saturday. So, as you're listening to this, it is June 1st. Very exciting time of the year, a lot of energy, people are revved up to start new projects, clean up their houses and their garages and their cars, go on new adventures, etc. So, let me know what yours are. What are you up to? What's going on for you this summer? I'm going to be going to Italy for two weeks, a 400-year-old farmhouse in Spoleto Valley. I have always dreamed of doing that. There was a great film, "Enchanted April," about a group of women that went to a beautiful villa in Italy for their vacation, and how it magically changed their lives. That was a really good film. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it and I'm sure you can get it on Netflix or iTunes.
So, I'm just thrilled. I'm just looking forward to the future and everything that's happening next. So, write your comments, let me know what you're up to, and let me know what you want me to talk about for the next few Saturdays. I will be happy to oblige. And remember, July 27th, the very first public pro-age gathering. It's a rally. It's a march. It's a demonstration. It's about all of us making our society pro-age, rather than this archaic anti-age. All right, see you next Saturday. I promise.
