Forests are amazing, aren’t they? 

They filter the water we drink and the air we breathe. Earth’s beautiful, majestic forests are home to nearly half of the world's species, including some of the most endangered birds and mammals. 

Trees are critical to mitigating the effects of climate change. The world’s forests act as huge carbon sinks by sequestering C02 and converting it to oxygen! 

As you can see, we have plenty of reasons to protect these precious forests. 

Here at BOOM!, we are doing one small thing to help these forests stay as gorgeous and useful as they are for many generations to come.

Sustainability update: BOOM! supports biodiversity and healthy forests...

Furthermore, all secondary packaging we’ve introduced to the line this year is created with 100% renewable energy. Our printers even go a step further, printing with low-VOC vegetable-based inks and energy-efficient hydroelectricity.

A large percentage of Boom paper is made from post-consumer waste (aka recycled content). 

In other words, most of the paper we use doesn’t even come from new trees. The small percentage that does comes from trees grown by skilled foresters in carefully, sustainably managed forests.

Let’s talk about why that’s important.

This was an easy decision for us. By sourcing paper that supports responsible forest management, we protect the forests for years to come. 

As an extra safeguard: We also only use paper that’s certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). If you’re not familiar with the FSC, it’s a third-party non-profit organization that ensures all our paper is eco-friendly and supports the growth of responsible forest management worldwide.

Beyond that, we use vegetable-based ink for all mailers, brochures, secondary packaging and postcards because it’s more eco-friendly than petroleum-based ink. 

Finally, we only use recyclable paper. So feel free to recycle any Boom mailers, postcards or brochures once you’re finished reading them.  

Above all, we’re excited to use paper that promotes the long-term sustainability of our magnificent trees around the world.
