Sharing Boom with a Friend: Emily, Susan and the Boomstick Trio

When Susan Pollara lost her brand-new Boomstick Trio, her friend, Boom Ambassador Emily Vickers, brought her a new Boomstick Trio and demonstrated how to use each one.
Emily also shared her tips for skin care and her pro-age philosophy.

Emily: It's Emily again. Meet my friend Susan. I'm over at her house on a Saturday morning to show her how to Boom. I'm so glad that you could meet with me today, Susan.
Susan: Hi! Yay! I'm so happy. This is so fun. Okay.
Emily: It's like a sleepover.
Susan: It is! So what should I start with?
Emily: Well, you're going to introduce yourself.
Susan: I'm Susan Pollara. Oh, more of the story...
Emily: Yeah!
Susan: Susan Pollara. I live in Hopewell, New Jersey and I have two amazing, delicious sons who are 13 and 11. I work full time, sometimes from home, sometimes in New York City, so things are really busy. Always running from one place to another. And I turned 50 in March.
Emily: You'd never guess.
Susan: Thank you. And truly—everything keeps getting more interesting and more fun.
Emily: So I'm with Susan today because I ran into her at the grocery store about two weeks ago, and she was telling me that, thanks to the presence on Facebook of BOOM!, and we're Facebook friends, so she...
Susan: And real friends.
Emily: And real friends too. She had discovered BOOM! and she was telling me this funny story… and I have to tell this. She said she had ordered a new set and she was pretty sure she threw away the new one.
Susan: Right, yes.
Emily: So I said, ”Guess what? I've got an extra set of Boomsticks for the Ambassador Program. And I'm gonna come over and I'm gonna give them to you.” So since Susan has only used...
Susan: I've only used the Boomstick Color.
Emily: The Boomstick Color. I'm going to show her how to use the others. So we're going to start with Boomstick Glo. Now, Boomstick Glo is a wonderful moisturizer. So, I'm speeding up the video so we can cover more ground. I'm showing Susan how to apply the Boomsticks by dabbing, not dragging them across her skin. It's to reveal and not conceal. So go tap, tap, tap. Smudge, don't smear, so the products gently melt into her pores to reveal her natural glow. Unlike makeup which tries to conceal but ends up seeping into and exposing lines and creases—which is not what we want.
Susan: Oh, but it feels so soft.
Emily: Yeah. It's lovely stuff, isn't it?
Susan: Uh-huh.
Emily: It's all-natural.
Susan: Do you put it on… can you put it on your lips?
Emily: Oh gosh, yes. Boomstick Glimmer.
Susan: That's sparkly.
Emily: This is… well, it's sparkly but it's not glittery. So what I do is rub it on, and I go highlight along the tops of my cheekbones. Can you see how I get...
I explained that I no longer use foundation or concealers, preferring to let my skin breathe and radiate wellness with the help of Boomstick Glo and Boomstick Glimmer. Emily: This isn't even like makeup. This is like enhancement, skin enhancement. So now that we have done this, then the Boomstick Color. And, of course, I call it the most versatile makeup ever created. And you have used this before, so.
Susan: Yes, so now I'm going to say that this is like the most moisturizing stick ever that I've used on my lips.
Emily: Yeah.
Susan: I love it. It just feels great.
Emily: But now, aren't you… are you gonna use it on...
Susan: I'm gonna use it on my lips and on my cheeks. I use it...

Susan: I know, I feel really polished.

Susan: Like, how did that happen?
Emily: ...three minutes.

Emily: Wow. Anyways.
Susan: So I shouldn't put it anywhere else or?
Emily: You can put it wherever you want.
Susan: I don't even...
Emily: Bridge of my nose, yeah. Make it look like you've got a little bit of sunshine, you know?
Susan: Do I look sunshine?
Emily: You look beautiful.
Susan: Thank you. That's very sweet. This has been really fun.
