Pro-age Women Share Their Unusual Makeup and Skincare Tips

At BOOM! by Cindy Joseph, we design simple, easy-to-apply makeup and skincare to highlight your natural beauty at every age.

Over the years, some of our biggest fans have become Boom Ambassadors. These amazing, pro-age women are a constant source of inspiration for us.

Occasionally, these fascinating women will share an especially useful or unusual makeup or skincare tip with us.

Today, we’re highlighting just a few of the tips we’ve heard lately.

  • 1. Exfoliate more than your face.

    Recently, two of our Ambassadors shared how they use Boom Scrub™, our gentle exfoliating wash, on more than just their faces.

    “I don’t just use Boom Scrub on my face,” said 57-year-old Carla Blaha. “I use it on my arms.”

    “I also use it on my heels,” added 53-year-old Kate Christensen.

Our late founder, Cindy Joseph, spent 27 years as a makeup artist. With her unique insight into bringing out women's beauty (at EVERY age), she created our original Boom cosmetics and skincare line. "As women age, looking fresh rather than made up is the key," Cindy said.

“The biggest makeup mistake that middle-aged women make is putting on too much under-eye concealer,” Cindy said. “At home, it might look okay, but in the daylight, it just looks like a bunch of gunk under your eyes. The older you get, the less makeup you should wear. It’s not a blank canvas anymore.”
