Video Transcript:
Hi, welcome everybody to Saturday with Cindy. I'm Cindy, for those of you who have not experienced the Saturday with Cindy vlog before. And I am here to just Yap about anything and everything you wanna hear about and the things that I'm particularly inspired about, which is women, age, beauty, self-esteem, as well as health and beauty and fashion and all kinds of subjects. And you will see that you can write below and comment on anything that I said, or you can ask your questions there, and I will respond to them on a future Saturday with Cindy.
So, a lot of you have been asking about my wedding, which is just delightful and wonderful. And thank you so much. And last week you saw Bruce and I together on Saturday with Cindy, we had a lot of fun doing that. So, we had planned on getting married a year ago, July 7th. However, we have this big toddler that takes a lot of attention. And her name is BOOM!. And BOOM! has been taking up a lot of time and a lot of energy, and we love doing everything that has to be done. But adding a wedding to everything we were doing with BOOM! just would have been too stressful. So here we are, over 60, we're not gonna have kids, there's no rush. We're getting married at home, so we decided we would do it when it's the most pleasurable for us.
And now that we have Elana Dylan on board, who's answering a lot of your emails when you write to customer service, she's wonderful, it's freed up my time to have events like the pro-age gathering we did in San Francisco and to get married. So it's happening, it's actually happening. You wanna see my engagement ring?
It's actually...I think it's a wedding band, you know, officially, but it has these little diamonds and it has filigree. It's not very focused, is it? Anyway, I love it because it's simple and it's sweet. And you know where I got my dress? Well, if you've heard my spiel on where I get my clothes, which is Costco, TJ Maxx, Marshalls and when I really splurge I go to Banana Republic. I got my wedding gown on Etsy. And I spent $275 on it. And it was so much fun. And it just arrived the other day and I put it on, and I love it, love it, love it, love it. But Bruce is sitting right over there, so I don't want to describe it to you. But I promise, I'll put pictures up after the wedding.
So we thought we wanna get married at home, we'd love to use the front porch and the garden and everything, so what would be a better time in New York than June? Not too hot, not too cold, everybody can sit outside and wander the gardens. And when I sat down the other day and calculated, went through the calendar, that is a long way away. And I went and found Bruce and I said, "Baby, I can't wait that long."
So now we're talking about getting married in November, right after this course we're taking, which is all about relationship. We thought, how fun would it be to come right off of that course when we're feeling really juicy and really loving and really happy and really appreciative of each other, and get married that weekend. So the new date is the weekend of November 9th and 10th. We haven't picked the day yet. But we don't have to worry about too much because we just need to make sure our friends and family can be there and that the caterers can do it. And other than that we're not fussing or messing with anything else. We're just gonna stand in front of each other and say what comes from our hearts and then have a big old party. And that's it, right here in this house.
So I hope that satisfied your curiosity. And let's see. So I have pre-recorded this Saturday with Cindy, and at this moment we are, I think, on our last day of our trip to Yellowstone, heading into the wilderness, camping, with my brother who's a wildlife biologist, he's invited us four times to come out and now that BOOM! is kind of on her feet and we've been able to get away, that's why we went to Umbria and have done all the vacationing we've done this summer.
So that's where we are right now, Yellowstone. And I'll tell you all about that when I get back. And please, if you have any questions, if they're frivolous and just about simple things or if they're deep questions about your life and what's in store for the future, your feelings about aging, your feelings about your body, your health, anything, I'm here, I am happy to give you my point of view and I love hearing your point of view too. So post your comments. And I am asking everybody if they can come up with a chant that would go along with a pro-age march, like two lines, really simple. Pro-age, I mean, I can't even make it rhyme right now. I came up with a really bad one. So I need help. So would love to hear that too. All right, thank you so much and I will see you next Saturday.
