Video Transcript:
I have been married 40 years.
Well, you know, it's interesting because I am a psychologist and because I do couples counseling.
The thing that always comes to me the most is something that my husband said. He said, "You know, the problem with marriage is that people aren't nice to each other. People just have to be nice to each other and everything is fine."
And I really think that's true. I think people have to be nice, they have to listen, and they have to be genuinely engaged and authentic about being interested in who you are.
I mean, that's all we want, you know, is we just want to connect with people and get to be a little vulnerable, and that vulnerability builds intimacy.
Let yourself have that in a relationship, and you've got gold.
