5 Vibrant Examples of a Pro-age Woman
What does pro-age mean to you?
For some, it’s about embracing who you are and what you look like now. Others believe it’s about being excited for the future and all that’s ahead. Still others believe it’s about honoring the wisdom and experience that comes with age.
All of these perspectives are valid. The truth is, “pro-age” has as many meanings as there are women.
The Pro-age Revolution includes women of every size, shape, color, background and culture in all stages of embracing themselves, moving towards their dreams and enjoying life fully.
Our Boom Ambassadors are amazing examples of the pro-age lifestyle. They’re following their dreams, living vibrant lives and finding new possibilities with each passing year.
What connects these women, and all of us, is feeling confident and beautiful at every age. As pro-age women, we decide our own destinies—apart from any rules the media or society tells us about aging.
From silver-haired modeling at age 50 to running a Youtube channel at 81, here are just a few incredible examples of pro-age women.
Sandra: Still smiling at 81.
Boom Ambassador Sandra began her career as Miss Sandra on Romper Room.
Later she became a successful journalist, anchorwoman, author and actress. She also raised three children and now hosts her own Youtube channel called Life Over Sixty With Sandra.
Sandra discovered BOOM! in 2018 after searching for natural skin care and makeup. She’s been a fan ever since.
She says, “When I saw the wrinkles starting to come, I understood that wrinkles are just where a smile has been. And I surely do not plan on quitting smiling any day soon.”

Yvette: Faster than ever.
Our next Ambassador is Yvette, lead female motorcycle racer for the Hurricane Racing Team.
She’s also a director at a Fortune 500 company.
Yvette uses Boom because it’s great for early mornings at the track and touch-ups before or after racing.
Nothing about age slows Yvette down. In fact, she’s faster than ever.

Kim: Never too late to follow your passion.
Turning 50 opened up many new possibilities for Kim. With her kids grown and on their way to building successful lives of their own, she had the opportunity to “reimagine and reinvent” her life.
So after many years in corporate HR, she left to become a portrait photographer and launch her own business.
Kim says it was only natural for her to bring the pro-age outlook that had encouraged her into her work. Now she focuses on showcasing the beauty of older women in her 50 over 50 project.

Mary: A slow-living revolution.
In 2016, Boom Ambassador Mary co-founded Lady Farmer, a community for slow living and sustainability, with her daughter Emma.
Mary is proof that “slow living” doesn’t have to mean doing less. Together, she and her daughter offer retreats, apparel, and advice on sustainable living.
Mary believes keeping your heart open to opportunities is the key to aging well.
She says, “You will find all these wonderful adventures still ahead for you for decades and decades to come… Here I am in my seventh decade, and I never imagined anything so fun and wonderful as what I’m living right now.” Hear more from Mary in this video.

Susan: Silver-haired pro-age advocate.
Susan is a silver-haired model, actress and pro-age advocate, in addition to being a Boom Ambassador.
At age 44, Susan founded the #DYEfree2BME movement, which encourages women to ditch hair dye and embrace their hair—and themselves—just as they are.
Susan’s energy in the pro-age movement has brought her new friends, a thriving career and a lot of fun as she moves into her 50th year.
